My Thoughts

This is what i think of the starting area. Please provide some feedback and tell me what should i improve. It's not yet done and i need a lot of time.

 

Starting are as in "lumbridge" or "tutorial island"?

I like Start Arena idea, but I personally suggest making the starting area based off an BackStory.

 

Why does that picture remind me so much of Lumbridge?

 

kinda reminds me of lumbridge a little but not a bad thing i would think you should make it like you start in a town and there is 1 middle area that you can buy and sell at something like your sketch and there is 2 areas like banks and shops around the market area.

yes you should not there is anything wrong with that one include more areas as for a startup town to begin to show you merchanting,the local smithing,potion shop,arrow shop ect

 

well we should make a major marketplace be based on the beginning of the game like if runescape made us start in varrock

 

Heh good eye.. Yah I do think there should be a tutorial area but more like wow where you can just waltz out =]

 

Or skip it, RS are a pain in the ass with their tutorials.
