My high Pardon

Ok so my last pardon was instantly denied by Finn even after 4 sectionals posting in support of me.

Finn I ask that if you do not have a reason for saying no then please don't post. You're saying no and instantly denying my pardon because you don't like me. You posted yourself that the collective approach is better

From bias, corruption and general lack of information, the flaws of one member making a decision are readily visible. Far better is a collective approach, and so a collective approach should be taken. All staff should be able to contribute to the process, as to cultivate healthy debate and rigorous assessment. Rather than having one individual making the decision, introduce voting.

I am posting today after waiting 6 months from my last pardon (can be found here: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=936970) which was instantly denied by Pen.

Let's start:

I came back to Sythe this May/June with intents on making money and making new friends. I have to say that my summer on Sythe was very enjoyable. I met a wide variety of people and made a decent amount of cash for "playing the computer".

After I had got myself settled in and had a completed OMM app with a hefty amount of vouches

Shortly after all my success I started going on Skype with the intent on talking to Grave and Tmoe. Gump warned me that this would be a bad idea but I disregarded it and proceeded to use skype frequently. Nothing bad really ever happened on Skype except for the Sindre leaking which I reported to Finn/Pen. Occasionally there would be talks on Skype about DDoSing, botnets, and shells but most of the time I was playing mw2 and not paying too much attention.

So with the background being given for staff who do not know the situation let me proceed.

I was banned for malicious intents including DDoSing, and attempting to get a staff member banned, and "intent to selling a sythe account", and faking chat logs.

I'll address the DDoSing first: I was in a skype call with Andrew(I forget his Sythe name but I'm sure you all remember him), tmoe, jasdeep3 and I think that was it. Andrew was saying he was going to DDoS me for something (I think to test out his botnet/shell) and I told him no. He said he was gonna do it anyways yada yada. At this point I said "Do it, I'll pull up peer guardian and send that shit right back". For saying this I am terribly sorry. I had no intentions of actually DDoSing andrew or anyone else for that matter. I can not go back and take back what I said but I can apologize for it and ask for forgiveness.

So for attempted DDoSing, I am sorry for ever saying what was said and I hope you can forgive me.

Attempting to get a staff member banned:

This is very confusing and I'm not sure how to explain it; but I'll try my best.

Farcast, louis, and I made a "Sythe Official Merchanting Clan" before I was banned. Farcast got it OKed by Finn to make it official, so breaking a clan rule would mean you'd be banned from Sythe. Farcast Louis and I made our first item (I think it was dspears) and we all bought them. Farcast told me a few days after the merch started his pure got banned so he wasn't participating with his bulk of cash (his partyhat was all he had left). A few days after that all the spears got dumped. On Skype jasdeep decided to start trolling Farcast about dumping spears on us and how upset he was that he lost cash. Farcast got very defensive and upset with Jasdeep so Jasdeep continued to troll. Jasdeep is one of my best friends on the internet so I joined in on the troll. Eventually farcast threatened to get jasdeep and I banned. After that jasdeep went and made a topic with pictures explaining how farcast scammed us. The topic was moved to the upper lounge where I gave a statement DEFENDING farcast for megamatt to put in there. Farcast said himself that I was never trying to frame or extort him, but for trolling him on Skype and starting that whole situation I want to say sorry, and I hope you can forgive me.

Selling Sythe accounts:
This is all one big understanding. I was banned with the rule "your IP your responsibility". I understand this rule but this rule was bent to apply to me. My friend gergle2 and I recovered his Sythe account on my IP address. After he recovered it (I don't even think he posted over here) he went back to his house and used Sythe a bit. He posted on a thread asking how much his Sythe account was worth. I was banned for this (but he was not) because the IP was linked to mine. I had some discussions with Tyro/Firez (I think) and they both told me the IP that made the post was not mine. I am sorry for my friends naive actions.


Lastly:
Editing chat logs:
This one I really can't explain or anything. The whole problem was me and Grave posted chat logs and mine didn't match his, a week (if I remember correctly) was just "erased" from my chat logs. Back when this happened I had no clue what happened. But I trusted my chat logs and decided since my logs said I didn't say what I was being accused of, I would stick to it. I was wrong for doing this. I do remember saying that but I didn't edit them out. My computer overheats frequently and when it over heats if MSN is open nothing gets saved/logs get erased/corrupt. How I know this happens for example me and grave were having a conversation about some GP sales and then my comp overheated. I turned it back on and it said the last time we spoke was like 2 weeks prior to that day. For this I am sorry for knowingly lying and wasting staff time with all my useless drama.

All in all, I just want to say I am sorry for everything I have done. I may have been an idiot, a troll, but I have never scammed or done anything to seriously jeopardize my integrity. I am a good person who got mixed up with the wrong people. I truly hope these 8 months away from Sythe without ban evading or anything else can show you this. I am here posting for your forgiveness and for you to allow me a second chance to show who I really am.

But if this is declined I wanted to say one:
My summer over Sythe was one of the best times I've had on the internet. I met a lot of cool people who taught me a lot about trust and integrity and how far it can go. I have made many friends who trust me with anything I need because of all the trades and trust I had on these forums. You guys have taught me things about generosity and common courtesy that I would not have learned by just messing around on the internet.

There are a good number of reasons and arguments to keep you banned and some to pardon you, certainly. Although as an administrator, Finn has the right to individually veto pardon requests. He can't approve pardons alone, but can deny one. I'm sorry Chris, see you in 6 months.
