My guide.

For those who knew me, I was writing a massive (emphasis on the word massive) guide a few months ago. I quit Runescape (And lost the motivation to finish the guide) before it was done, and never touched it since then. I haven't written a word since then, so this guide hasn't been updated in 3-4 months. I was deleting shit on my computer when I saw this and figured I might as well post it for people.

Hate it, love it, don't care, doesn't matter to me. However, if you do download it and enjoy it, would be nice to leave a post saying thanks or something; I spent at least a hundred hours writing this.

Oh, and any comments are encouraged. Even negative ones. I've always had a far fetched dream of becoming an author, so criticism or praise wouldn't be bad.

First off, the guide doesn't really cater to me, because I'm not a pker. That said, I can tell that you put a TON of hard work into this guide. Great job man.

It's a .pdf file... it can't have a virus, it's like a .txt file...

Read through, shame you only made it to the end of the money making section.

About the guide. I liked it, but pictures of an item should have a little darker background, because it's hard to see what's that an item, because all page is white...

I would give you 4.5/5 for your hard work, because the guide was not perfectly formatted with colours, spaces...

What did you meant about 'porting the guide'?

If you're using a pdf file viewer which has exploits, then it would infect your computer. As we know not many readers/players have critical exploits, and there are many other readers/players, and 1 malware won't work on Windows Os, Linux, Mac OS, it will work only on one of them, so people are using many other ones. So hackers make rarely malware to data files (*.pdf, *.doc, *.txt, *.dat, etc).

If it would be an executable file, then it would be more possible to catch a virus.

So: if you're using old, glitched, buggy *.pdf reader, then update it and read e-books.

You can uninstall *.pdf reader, too if you want.
Or another sollution: Never open data files...

In other words you tried to said, that it's a data file and it's not an executable file.

Why not virus scan it yourself? If you're that worried about a virus, then you should have a good anti virus. If you don't have a good anti-virus, then you're an idiot for worrying about viruses while not having your own anti-virus.

That being said, feel free to scan it through whatever. Last I heard, you can't put a virus in a PDF.

Hehe, I was planning on making an extensive, comprehensive guide that would pretty much cater to every category of Runescape player, but as you can tell, I never got around to it.

Click the link in my topic and see how many vouches I have. I definitely wouldn't throw away 50+ vouches to keylog 2-3 people.

I wrote it in Word (Well, Open Office, to be exact), but then converted it over to PDF, so as long as you have a PDF viewer it shouldn't be coming up as gibberish.

Thanks for the long, well thought out post. As for the comments about the pictures, I completely agree. I've never had much of an artistic talent, so I'm actually quite surprised it looks the way I do. Putting aside the graphics, what do you think of it, just writing wise?

Very nice guide, it looks like it took a lot of time. My biggest criticism for your work involves the layout. Instead of making large blocks of words, separate them into paragraphs. It will make it look so much nicer. Thanks and good luck with your dream! =D
