    "Nearly two years after he pleaded guilty to a federal charge of bankrolling a dog-fighting operation at a home he owned in Virginia, Michael Vick was reinstated to the National Football League on a conditional basis, according to an NFL statement Monday."

    In my mind, he shouldn't have gone to jail for 2 years in the first place. In my eyes dog-fighting doesn't seem like that big of deal for me, especially not 2 years in prison and loosing millions of dollars over.

    Any thoughts?

    Yeah, 2 years is way to harsh of a sentence for that. I believe, if any jail time at all, he should have got like a couple months at most.

    Hm.

    Dog fighting is sorta serious, they're living animals too, just not as intelligent as humans.

    Deer are living animals, ducks, moose, alligators, birds, etc.

    They are all living animals, but its not illegal to kill them.

    Dogs are considered pets in the American household.

    Yes, it's illegal to kill them, yes, it's not illegal to kill birds, yes, people keep them as pets.

    The thing is, even the U.S. law recognizes that Dogs are one of the main domesticated animals IN THE WORLD. You may have a domesticated alligator for all the U.S. cares, but it will still be legal to hunt, as long as it's most common habitat in the U.S. mind is outside of the house.

    I'm with you. I don't believe he should have spent 2 years in prison, although with his money, the prison was a nice one.

    ...It's not illegal to kill dogs.

    He was soliciting money without a license. Which is a totally different reason why he went to jail. Personally, I'm happy that he's back, He was a great quarterback, and he didn't deserve what happened to him.

    Lol, good to see him back. He proberally got put away longer than most rapists in England would as our law system sucks.

    And yes, it's called animal abuse.

    But so is killing deers or Rabbits, some of that is sport? So, why isn't it the same for dogs.
