Most profitable barrows method?

Im going to start doing barrows today, just wondering how many kills in the tunnel i should get before looting the chest. is it better to get 50 kills or do 20 kills and look chest more often?

The kill count doesn't effect your prize, you will always have a 1/14 chance to get a barrows item(unless your wearing a ring of wealth)

 

what does the ring of wealth do? and whats the point of getting the kill count then?

 

There's no point in getting kill count, and the ring of wealth removes some of the empty space where you would normally get nothing

 

There IS a point in getting kill count. It improves the quantity and quality of the non-barrows loot. However, since you're going for the most profit, you're best off going with no or low killcount.

 

People can fight about this all day but at the end the of the day kill count doesnt effect any odds.

 

kill count icnreases the amount of GP/Runes/Bolt racks you get.

Only by killing the brothers do you get a chance to get their loot.

I mage all of the for the fastest trips

If you have blitz and full elite void mage with asn/sol you cna do over 30 trips off 1 invy of prayer potions, also with a ehanced excal

 

I've heard the kill count doesn't really effect your prize....my best bet is just to get the minimum required kills to finish one round successfully and cross your fingers for a good ass loot.

 

Wait wait so people still use prayer pots for this? :L

Prayer method is very inefficient if you want to camp there.

 

I Think it is, being that i can do over 30 chests off one invy, my trip time lasts so long i have never even completed a full invy use.

Aided with a enhanced excal you can pretty camp there forever.

 

6-9 killcount works well; as far as I know 6 is needed to get bolt racks ( I might be wrong here, though).

 

The higher killcount has nothing to do with the barrows items themselves, it only affects the non-barrows loots as far as runes, money, etc. If you're going for the higher loot, then don't go for a high killcount.
