so im starting to train in nmz for the first time and im wondering if there is a way to use absorption method without rockcake?

 

There's not really a way to use absorption without a rockcake if you're low defence. If you're 70+ defence you can get away with just using absorption, but if you're on a 1-45 def pure, the only way to use absorption effectively is by getting down to 1 hp. You don't necessarily need rockcake to get down to 1 HP, but it does help a lot.
