Give me your feedback about the section. I have choices there for you guys to vote on about what you feel about it.


Things I have currently requested to admins:
- Hiding the applications and moving the mm services to the middleman forums for the time being until admin write up a new application.
- Making a Market help section for trading guides, and your questions.

Give your thoughts about those above also.

This thread is also open to suggestions and not spam.

The Market section needs to be better monitored on the basis of spam/bumping.

There also needs report a scammer mods instated.

 

Not all mods have perms in the Anti-Spam/Scam sections, and we do not need mods designated to that section.

Any mod that has perms, does the reports. I feel it's a waste of time to do reports because they just keep coming back.

It should be at the trader's risk.

 

I agree with both your proposals.

 

What kind of garbage is that? If a scammer scams, they need to be gotten rid of immediately before they scam more and more people.

Sure it's the trader's risk in a trust aspect but you're then letting the scammer be able to do whatever they want.

It's not a waste of time at all and it'd be nice if you were active in your own section actually approving disputes and looking through them. That's why you don't have permission. So don't give me that garbage

 

Keep it clean please. This is about the market section.

 

Actually Inventor, I don't recommend you speak to Sythe's Moderators like that, especially when Sythe himself said that the Report a Scammer forum should primarily be used as a ''look up section''. Search the person's name who you're trading with, and if they have a scam report against them, don't trade. If you're not even happy with that, use a fucking Middleman. If you get scammed after both precautions, I can safely say you're a noob. Goodday.

 

Maybe this lookup idea should be publicized a bit more? Create a sticky in the marketplace advising traders to do so.

 

I don't care if you're an admin or a moderator, when something isn't the way it's supposed to be, it needs to be changed. You're not a noob if you got scammed, you just made yourself vulnerable.

That would be nice but it's just not practical. There needs to be some sort of graphic literally embeded in the forums saying "USE A MIDDLE MAN" for people to get it.

 

Clearly not. On Sythe's site, what Sythe says goes. This includes his statement that the Report a Scammer section is for. By all means, give us your feedback, but we don't take commands from you. We take them from Sythe.

 

It's not a command. I'm just saying the community needs to be bettered

 

And if people bothered to take simple procedures such as looking in the scam reports, they'd likely not get scammed. If they used a Middleman, they'd likely not get scammed, etc.

Honestly to God, there will ALWAYS be scammers. I'm not going to sit and do something which results in nothing. It's like trying to fill a jug which has no bottom. Ridiculous.

False and false. The idea is to get rid of the majority and tailor the site so the influx of scammers isn't so high. If the scammers are low, trust increases.

Ignorance is never acceptable.

hmm i like it how it is, and this is entertaning, i agree with finn if people are stupid enough to be scammed then there fault theres enough recourses here to not be scammed

 

Scammers always return, Inventor; look at Sigex. You can't get rid of them, the bans can unfortunately be avoided.

You honestly think Sythe has been banning different people all these years? No, it's the same little pricks who keep returning.

Me agrees. We need to educate our peoples so they do not get scammed, and when scammers start not being able to scam, they will leave... :/

 

I say a bit stricter.
Even though I have 2 spam warnings in the market section

(I got used to a forum where they are pretty lax on what they call spam cost me here.)

 

Aaaaand this is why the new mod system doesn't help. You mods all need the same power (except team leads+) and just be assigned to monitor your section.
