Mage boxing

How do you mage box exactly?

 

shadow barrage > blood barrage

 

Pretty much covers it.. Also watch out for sheilds, haven't MB for a while but I'm pretty sure Mage book > divine as it has 10/15? magic attack And defence. I always stuck to rapier stakes, lol quick an easy.

 

Everything off.
All armour/weapons off.
Range/melee off
No drinks/food/movement/prayer/summoning
NO OBSTACLES.

Shadow barrage them until it hits, or until you are 75% or less hp.
Then blood barrage/blitz them. If they keep splashing you, do shadow barrage. Or even smoke.


Blood barrage = Gives you hp (Only if you hit them)
Shadow barrage = Lowers their attack
Smoke barrage = Chance of poisoning them (Helps a lot)

 

I prefer smoke > blood
personal preference really, just switch to blood after you've been hit

Pretty sure divine will shred mage book.

These rules. Also, make sure movement is off

 

Doesn't divine need prayer to do it's special effect?
If so, and pray is off I don't think it will work in a MB

Correct, so for pray off dueling, an ely is better, but I think I might still take a mage book over any shield item for MBing, athough I don't MB so I wouldn't know for sure.

Why do people use shadow since attack doesn't have to do with maging, I would've thought smoke barrage would be more helpful at beginning.
