Luring

I'd think of it more as Social Engineering.

 

Since luring was made a bannable offense (see: http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=751), I'm guessing that it will be a lot less popular but will still happen to a certain degree. Just like regular ol' trade scamming.

 

I believe that added clause only pertains to luring to WILDERNESS. Just saying, not going to divulge anymore, wouldn't want to create competition but there are ways still my friends to obtain other's items, and wilde is only a fraction of the potential of free trade. LOL good luck!

Difference in luring and scamming? I know luring consists of tricking somebody into doing something like going into wildy, but isn't scamming the exact same thing?

 

Luring basically is scamming. It's usually tricking someone into the wildy and then killing them while they scream at you. Although it's nothing like hacking/phishing.

 

Sythe doesn't support in game scamming either I don't think.

 

Sythe used to have a "luring" section before the 07 update, they fully supported and actually encouraged it by providing this section for strictly its purpose. As far as Im concerned this is a black market type site, and if your worried about breaking the RS rules then that ship has sailed if you are reading this post.

I think the discussion, advancement, and ect... about luring should be allowed on sythe, just as botting, account sharing, RWT, and all of the other RS rule-breaking material is on here already with no issues.
