link codes (help)

hey guys i need to know how to make a pic into a link,i have the code but it doesnt work?

thats the code i use (without stars)

i paste the link where it says "link" and i paste the uploaded image where it says "picture" but when i click it it just takes me to imageshack.us ( i use imageshack to upload) can it be because im using the hotlink? if so what should i use instead? thanks
