    Limewire?

Recently, I heard on the radio that a band is suing this lady for more than 200 grand, for downloading 1 album of theres off Limewire. And they said if they succeed, they have over 20,000 people on there list.

Do you think that people can get sued for that much from 1 album? Personally, I use limewire and have ALOT of albums of different bands. Am I fucked along with many other people? :(

No way in hell it'll go through for 200 grand. Especially since the matter could be settled privately.

    Limewire?

I am calling BS by the radio station. Since first off limewire does not do albums. even if that was the case all the lady has to do it go out and buy the album. Then she has the right to download it. Moreover that station is probably owned by clear channel trying to scare little kids.

First off USA stats about Piracy: No one been sued for downloading under 1000 songs. In addition to the fact even if you payed for limewire it looks bad however it not illegal.

So basically don't worry unless you download everything from public trackers without peer gauriden and make sure it safe. Plus try to change ip or go download while at hotels and stuff :D. Works fine for me.

Actually josh thats where your wrong. She was order to pay $9250 per song for the 24 songs that she put up on kazaa. She has to pay $222,000 to 6 record industries who sought damages.

It was on yahoos homepage the other day.

Oh no wonder it was kazza which is practically run by the government. But she could go out and buy cd's and be safe.

Don't be scared. Unless someone plans to sell burned cds of the songs they downloaded illegally, they have nothing at all to worry about.
