    Well, I guess it's better than what the outcome from the Axis forces would've been.

    A lot of these soldiers may have been mislead, but they still pursued the best intentions in their heart. (Believing their government, like people still do today.)

    I'd say the exact same thing in person. Its not that I don't sympathize for the dead, in fact I really do. I just think it was a terrible waste of life, and I think celebrating what they did as "honorable" is just wrong.
