I am still laughing at R2 prices vs Arcus. Why would anyone buy for the Chinese shops when they could get it 10%+ cheaper from a seller like Arcus.

Then to the main post. on PA your competition is very direct. Most of the orders are done with the seller who's cheapest.

Look at this simple rule:
Situation A:10x possible orders with 50% marchin --> 50% of potential buyers is ordering
Situation B:10x possible orders with 45% marchin --> 75% pf potential buyers is ordering

Now what do you think it's better, option A or B?

10 trades for 5% more profit per trade.

Don't get the point of this rant, if he's making a profit then he's doing something right. It isn't his responsibility to look after the other gold businesses interests. Either lower your prices or find something else that makes paying more for your product a desirable option.

 

Ye like many others have said, its better to get many trades and make less profit per trade then get less trades and make more profit per trade. Not only do you profit more you can get more contacts for future trades.

 

I don't really sell on PA. I have a shop there, but I don't update it, nor do I attempt to compete for orders on their site.

As to this thread, OP seems pretty upset. He's got economics on his side though.

Also worth noting that by driving down the price on PA he might drive sellers to sell to him instead for less than they would without him undercutting. Then he can just sell for a high price outside of PA and increase profits a lot. I'm pretty tired right now, so that might be nonsense. But it sounds about right to my sleep deprived brain atm lol.
