Layout

Trying to take a nod from webdesign I made this layout with some techniques I have learned:

I'm no expert at graphics, but from a customers point of view I don't think it looks too appealing. I think it might be the colours, they're too dingy and I don't like the text in the box either. The headings are ok though.

As I said; I'm no expert though.

 

In bad light the writing is hard to read. If different colours it would look neat.

 

Everyone who can see has a valid opinion of art, don't feel ashamed to say you don't like something if it doesn't look right to you!

A couple of things here:
- Logo/name at the top is a good font choice that blends well with the light strobe effects. But I don't like the connection between "N" and "D". I think you could put the 'design' part further to the left and then move it up closer to the 'Nero' part. If it doesn't look good, then try and spread out the letters a little bit, or place the logo on the top right hand corner of the text field box. Then format the other stuff accordingly. Perhaps put like a little search bar on the other side on top of the text box?
- Font choice in the actual text box is too bold, too large and too dark. Try a serif font, or a sans serif that isn't quite as thick. Even a different text style like "crisp" might do it. I'm also a little unsure about putting the titles right on the line for each text box.
- Colours. Too dark and gets darker the further down you go. Makes the titles and body paragraphs harder to read. Possibly need to incorporate some more light sources near and around each sub title.
- Background could do with some sort of floral vase pattern (like this) if that helps you visualise what I mean (I forget the proper name for this type of pattern all the time).

That's about all I can think of right now, hope it made some form of sense.

 

Pretty much summed it all up to be honest except for a few things that i personally don't like

1. Font choice,, i feel like the font you choose doesn't match with the design
- I personally would choose this one

2. I don't like those 3 patterns on the first box

3. The light particles between the boxes,, they look the same to much.. maybe use some different light particles and i also don't like the placement,, i can't really explain why,, but they seem off where they are now
