Keep computers cool.

Okay so many people know that computers can overheat and crash. Sometimes more serious things can happen such as parts melting or frying. So to keep your computer cool use these simple steps.

1. Don't keep your computer by something else that emits heat (another computer a large tv)

2. Keep the fan on in the room your using the computer in, this helps keep the air the computer takes in cooler

3. Don't over use it, do something other than the computer to give it time to power off and cool off.

4. Keep the vents clear open and free of obstructions, dust etc.

6. Get a fan controller for your computer to control how fast the cooling fan spins. For mac user i recommend smcFanControl http://www.eidac.de/

 

The best thing for keeping your computer from running hot is to upgrade the Processor Fan, or adding a PCI Port Fan. Should at that in.

 

Upgrading the Heatsink/Fan, or adding more fans is a good way, But some people put in water cooling systems, I can guarentee you that will work better than any sort of water cooling rig. Also very good if you're an overclocker.

 

True, but most Water Cooling systems run at about $200 + dollars.
