K2

Well me and my dad (45) just bought two ascents onto k2. Anyone ever been in the Himalayan region ? We are going to be doing the climb next week. Lot of prerequisite had to be done before we could go. For anyone who doesn't know what k2 is its a mountain near Everest. Second highest in the world. Considered to be one of the danger est. Will be posting pics after trip is complete(hopefully)

Good luck man! I'm not a mountain climber, but I read a very memorable book on the region ,mentioning K2. It's called Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson.

 

Ugh, I really hated that book.

I have climbed a few (They are all in the UK though. Snowdon etc.). Good luck with it, hope you get to the top okay.
