i know why jagex put the ditch u have to jump over to go to wild or w.e they put it there bc of luring but why do we still have it?

 

Could be due to revs

 

ive never seen revs that close to the wild

 

they probably dont want beginners accidentally walking into the wild to be attacked by revs

 

Or they just didn't feel like taking it out. It was there while wildy pking still existed.

This is more than likely the case. Even though you cannot lure new players still could just as easily accidently walk out into the wild and lose all their equipment and GPs to a rev.

 

If i'm not wrong, it was introduced when the pvp system changed and revs were introduced.

The warning that pops up when you click the ditch is what keeps newbs from jumping the ditch

 

a warning window would popup telling you you were about to enter the wilderness, a dangerous place where other people could attack you, when you came within like 5 spaces of the entrance. At least, it was like that on RSClassic, maybe up until they introduced the ditch on RS2.

I remember how lols it was people tryed trading you when you was alching or whatever and you'd run into the wildy.
