Just to comment on this little hattez thing, I am glad you decided to step up and assemble the response, about bloody time somebody did speak up and put an end to this drama.

Overall, I don't see you around a lot, but that is probably because I don't frequent off-topic.
Just come on the TS a bit more often lol ;p

I guess no feedback is good feedback But yeah, thanks Cas_M. It took a minute to write but it was something that I thought other users need to know. It think most staff just didn't want to add to any fuel to fire and I tried my best not to do that, I just really wanted to explain staff actions to the rest of our user base.

Overall, I don't see you around a lot... And I'm currently on ts.sythe.org if you want to jump on! However, I'll admit I have been less active due to personal life stuff going on but I'll try my best to stay more active on there.

 

Yeah I thought your post on the hattez dispute crap was pretty well written + laid out. hattez has always been a troll and it's high time he was written off the site permanently.

 

Well done on the response to Hattez's thread. I read through it a couple times and could not have said it any better myself. Kudos.

 

Thanks for the kind words Laptop65, as a staff member our responsibility is to enforce the rules. Hopefully Hattez’s will learn from this and have a successful life in his future endeavors. Sythe.org will continue to be as transparent as possible. I will continue to make every effort possible to keep our user base up to date with our decision making. Thanks, it’s important that users know that you aren’t speaking alone on this matter. Before today, no one including myself knew I would respond on his pardon. This is because typically Sythe.org lets the moderator/administrators involved handle the dispute against them because they know what events have transpired. But you already know that, however for the rest of the user base reading my feedback thread. I didn’t write that because we know each other, I wrote it because while staff knew the reasoning behind his ban I noticed that some users may not know, and I didn’t want normal users fishing around and asking Hattez for information and dragging this on out on you. Glad I could take the words out of your mouth like you took the mod score out of my hands

I was skeptical about your promotion until I saw your level of productivity straight off the back. This of course was 3 months ago, since then your activity decreased significantly.

I rarely see you answer any reports in RAS, the last one you answered was 5 pages back in archives. It seems like your only interest here is replying to pardons. I like that you're participating in doing so, and taking the initiative of investigating each one, but that isn't your only job.

You're an off topic mod that rarely if ever posts in that forum category.

Gotta do something about this.

 

Noted, I have been going through a lot with college graduation, work and ex-girlfriend. I haven’t earned my position back based on activity. I gained it based upon my continue loyalty to Sythe.org I have been doing this for seven years. And staff knows I can be trusted to handle things maturely and fairly. However, you are correct I have no interest in doing report a scammer/spammer unless I’m in the mood. Which is rarely, because it’s not my style. I will leave that to other mods who actually enjoy it. I meet my quotas but I also have a busy life outside of Sythe.org. This isn’t my job because I don’t get paid. I will try to increase activity in off topic but don’t expect me to be clearing the spam section every day.

 

Open Hattez's pardon back up. FireZ said the other day if your pardon was denied by ONE veto then to repost.

His was and he reposted. So instead of being a douche and posting some shitty gif why dont you open it up and let him get a fair shot.

Itll probably (99.9% certain) get denied legitimately so atleast let him have his day in court. Posting pics/memes/gifs and other BS on pardons and disputes is a complete and total dick move to begin with. If they care enough to dispute they obviously care about the site in SOME way, for you or any other staff member to treat them or their cause as a joke is inexcusable.

Tl;Dr Dont be that guy, absolutely no one likes that guy.

 

This is not my choice, Richard (aka Sythe) has stated this is only N4N0 decision. Unless Richard or N4n0 says otherwise it doesn't matter. He literally posted a damn pardon less then a week ago. I'm tired of him trying to stir shit up and I killed it before it could go anywhere.

If you know anything about me I'm very fair with pardon requests but at a certain point it gets ridiculous. He is just trying to waste everyone's time and tell his story to anyone who would listen. I'm over it, if that makes me the bad guy then so be it. But it's important to remember getting to pardon is a privilege not a right.

 

Ive heard that its N4n0s decision and whatnot before but have also heard and seen otherwise on other pardons. Regardless if its N4n0s decision let him speak! I stand by my feedback, any respect I have garnered for you has gone down signifigantly. When you start treating your staff obligations as a joke you in turn become one.

 

N4n0, did speak on this pardons. I actually messaged him a link to it and he replied you just couldn't see it. I am not acting out any personal gains here, I'm just posting what N4no and other staff would say.

 

He isn't stirring up shit, he is applying for a pardon. You "killing it before it could go anywhere" is exactly what is wrong here. Pardon guidelines are there for exactly that reason, you aren't supposed to kill it before it can go anywhere, you are supposed to get a chance.

Even more so, I feel like you should abstain from voting on that pardon in the first place considering you weren't there for the situation, so you are only acting on information given to you by the supposed "victim"

Even MORE so, what Hattez was banned for is a temp ban offence in the first place. The fact that he was perm banned at all is someone overstepping the rules, and the fact he isn't being given a chance to pardon is overstepping that even further.

It's really quite petty. Staff should know to follow their own rules, when you don't, it costs you your reputation.

He has had his chance with the pardon system before but since you want to speak of rules. Check out the Zero Tolerance rules in the spam forums. Having your pardon heard is a privilege not a right. If Richard wants to pull that right or pass the choice to N4N0 about a user getting unbanned, then that makes a pardon thread pointless. If this pardon thread is allowed by Richard or n4no then I’ll gladly abstain because I’m 99.999999 percent sure no staff will support his pardon request. Which makes this entire thing a deliberate attempt to waste staff time. Which appears to be working so he has that going for him.
