the drinking age is already 18 where im at,
and i dont here much about 18 year olds drinking to the point 18 year olds in america are heard of so yeah i think its a good idea

 

Yeah, it'll get kids used to drinking younger, which makes them fuck up their lives at a younger age! Brilliant!!

These guys are fucked up retards to think that lowering the drinking age to 18 will stop binge drinking, the kids will buy beer as if the drinking age was 21, binge drink as if they were underaged, because that's what they're used to. But now they can "legally" binge drink if this law comes to power.

That's the irony of it all.

 

It's a psychological thing. When something is illegal and hard to get, then of course it will be more satisfying to have and do. But when something is right there and you can do it all the time whenever you want to, then it wont be such a big deal.

For instance, before you got your drivers licence, you wanted to drive so bad and the first few days after you got it you wanted to drive everywhere and drive people and your parents everywhere. But then a few weeks or months later, driving wasn't such a big deal anymore because you grew sick of it and you didn't have that desire to drink like you did back then.

That is exactly what I think will happen with drinking age being lowered to 18, drinking wont be such a big deal. With underage kids now drinking is such a delicacy because it is illegal, but if it wasn't illegal, it would be an everyday thing like drinking coke. Now if coke was illegal, everyone would want to drink coke because they would think there is something special about it.

So yes the drinking age should be lowered to 18.

Eh I think keeping it at 21 is good. People still do stupid stuff even if they are legal age.

 

If you LOOK 18 (I've seen 14/15 year olds being served alcoholic drinks in clubs without being carded in Canada) you can get booze in Canada.

Well this could be for the benefit, since some people only drink underage to look cool and feel cool, its like the legal drugs scheme in amstardam its proven that americans take more drugs, than a country where they sell them legal.
