Is this allowed?

My older brother wants to register at Sythe.org, but I was wondering wether it was allowed to have mulitple accounts on 1 IP or not. We both understand that if one of us breaks a major rule that we will both get banned. Account sharing isn't allowed either so making a second account seems like the only option to me?

Please make this clear for us/me, thanks.

 

Yes, you may have 2 accounts on 1 IP, but if your brother gets banned, then you also will also be banned.

Yes you can have more than one account per ip, just remember you can't vouch for each other as that will be labeled as self vouching.

 

Never interact in any way, free bumps will get you a TWC well earned if its done repeatedly.

 

It's possible. But self vouching will get you both banned.

 

Shouldn't that net the user a temp ban?

I don't see how abusing the bump system warrants that a user be deemed less trustworthy to trade with.

Because if they want to bump, they can delete the post and reply again to bump it without risking TWC. Only reason its illegal is because they dont want the same person intereacting with 2 accounts.

 

A free bump and a fake offer are very different though, even if they both are prohibited in this context.
TWCs should be given when a user has done something to make his legitimacy questionable. Not simply as a general punishment.

 

Bumping your thread can lead to sales it can also make people believe that you're getting higher offers when you're doing it yourself on a different account when you're not. I think it depends on the bump either way if you're bumping yourself it looks suspicious because you can be in a hurry to scam etc.


Just saying IMO, I don't know the offical rule.

 

V3 is saying that bumping a thread and a fake offer are two different things, yet both warrant a twc. I understand the implications of a fake offer, but why should bumping a thread require a rank that tells others you are not to be trusted?

I agree i dont even see the problem with bumping a thread,
im pretty sure you wouldn't get a TwC if you asked your friend to bump your thread for you.

 

just try not to talk to him at all on sythe is the only advice i can give.
