Is this allowed?

My teacher recently threatened me with a referall because I didn't want to wear my glasses all class long. My vision is no that bad and i use my glasses only when taking notes and reading instructions. It becomes a pain to wear them while doing schoolwork etc...

For those of you who don't know a referall is like an extra bad detention it usually comes with a suspension for any number of days.

I live in Florida and was just checking to make sure.

They are teachers i mean they cant use force but they can throw that stuff at you.... its the only way to make the students listen im studying to become a teacher at the moment and i personally wouldnt do it but they do have a right

you should report it to the section head or something

 

It was certainly a bitchy move but perfectly legitimate. Teachers can give referalls for pretty much anything. Of course if you talked to the AP about it they could overturn it.

 

"Threatened" is the key word. Odds are, they wouldn't have written you up for not wearing glasses. (Providing that you weren't doing a Lab etc. which required them.)
While if you did make a smart ass remark back, they would be able to write you up for that.

So no, they can't make you wear your own glasses unless it's a safety concerns - as mentioned before - such as doing a Chemistry lab that involves acid.

 

No one can tell you what toew ar, unless its a uniform ofcourse, but anything like glasses, u can reoprt the teacher.
So sure that they cannot do that
