IRC Rules

Apparently we need some order in the IRC, so i'll lay down some ground rules.
NOTE: These rules are subject to change, at any time, without any warning, and it is YOUR responsibility to know them. I'm not going to remind everyone what their responsibilities are being on the IRC.

Rules:
1. Bots:
A. You are allowed one bot, and one bot alone. (BNCs, eggs, mIRC scripted. I don't care.)
B. Your bot must have some generally-usable functionality (IE everyone has to be able to do something with it)
C. If your bot is found to have any malicious functionality, You will be banned, no questions asked, no second chances.
CI: This means botnets, clonesx-like bots, etc.

2. Don't abuse new people, or people that don't want to be abused and don't actually deserve to be banned or kicked or yelled at and such. Seriously, I'm sick of the threads and the complaints and all that other shit. Not everyone appreciates our sense of humour like we do, so just suck it up and don't do it.

3. Don't ask me to do shit. I'm not going to op you just because I own the damned IRC, in any channel. I influence #Sythe, and nothing and no one else.

4. Don't question my decisions. Seriously. I run the IRC, and you have no say in what I do unless your name is Filefragg, Shinoda, or Clash, which it probably isn't. Everything I do has a good reason behind it, and 90% of the time you don't need to know what that reason is. If I feel like justifying my actions to you I will do so, but know that if I don't want to, I don't have to, and I won't.
MY DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND MY WORD IS LAW IN THIS IRC.

5. Don't beg for access anywhere. See rule 3.

Rules pertaining to this forum:
1. Don't post #Sythe/Channel ban disputes here. They gave /PRIVMSG dual functionality for a reason; /QUERY an op and ask them to unban you. If they had a good reason, don't expect anything. Just a warning. If you were banned from the server itself, post in the Dispute thread that's stickied in this forum.

2. Don't advertise your channel here. Seriously. No one cares. This server isn't big enough to start three active channels; there simply aren't enough people.

3. If you want to bitch at me, I have an MSN. It's [email protected]. Don't post about it here. It's nothing but flaming, spamming, and I'll have your stupid ass infracted for wasting space in my forum.

4. Remember that this forum is for suggestions and troubleshooting; if it's anything else, there's a sticky for it or it's not allowed.

Disencouraged things:
1. BNC's. I don't like them, and unless I'm in a particularly eccentric mood at the time I'll probably ban it and you'll have to connect normally like everyone else. I don't care how funny it is, how cool it is, just be like every other normal fucking person out there.

2. Sucking up. I would make it a rule, but whatever, don't fucking do it, it makes me angry to see someone else suck up, to anyone. I WILL ban you without hesitation or reason if you do it.

3. Flaunting IRC knowledge. Personally, I don't care how much you know about IRC or a particular client. That's nice. Go do something with it, something productive (this doesn't include trying to impress me or anyone else with your shitty understanding of the IRC protocol).

4. Runescape in #Sythe. We don't care about it, we don't want to talk about it, please don't do it.
