IRC Abuse

Today i found this post on the boards.

I saw the download had a run.exe and it probably had malious code.

So i went on irc.sythe.org #sythe

I ask for help, i asked who is a admin, this guy named Volcom said he was a dmin. So i ask him to do some things then.

So i told him i needed the guys ip and post links taken down. I explained that it had a run.exe etc.

Then he said he can't bc hes not staff. Then this guy named Phil said hes a mod.

[15:03] <+Phil> but my internet wont work
[15:03] <+Phil> atm
[15:03] <+Phil> lol

So i figured he trying to waste my time like volcome and then i said.

[15:03] <+ruler> Is a real admin here?
[15:03] <+ruler> or mod

[15:04] <%Volcom> !kb ruler You are really pissing me off. Phil is a mod, gtfo

So then i spent time trying to pm random ppl that were in the channel to get unbanned.

I finally get back in the channel 20min later

The people in the irc turn it around on me asking who on the staff has helped me before. Being critical about me asking for help.


Its now 15:45 still no result.

I understand Staff being busy and not around but i dont understand the abuse.

 

IRC is not the same as Sythe.org, Phil on there IS a mod on here, he's Phil the market mod, volcom is just volcom... if you needed an admin you could have clicked "View forum leaders" down the bottom of the index.php page to see which admins exist, and which are online.

TBH, I do that all the time when someone asks for an admin, it's fun.
