Introduction in Cheat Engine

Hello. This time I'll give you a little introduction to Cheat Engine.

Cheat Engine is a great, open source software that can edit addresses and variables in the memory. You can also speedhack, make trainers and much more with this.

That was the list of chapters. No need to wait any longer, let's start off!


1. Downloading and installing

This is very easy and very fast done.

First, go to http://cheatengine.org/ . Then go into the 'Downloads' section. And press 'Cheat Engine 5.5'.



Download the file. The setup will guide you trough the install, so I won't guide you trough it too.
It could be smart to restart your computer after installing, but it's not required.


2. General introduction

If you have seen some of my other tutorials, you know I prefer explain by using an image as base, I'll do that here too.

1. Select process. Here you select what process to hack. This is required to do before you do anything else.
2. The current selected process. I have selected firefox.exe. This is the one that is mostly used for hacking web-based games. Don't mind the numbers before the name.
3. The scan settings. This is what you'll be using most for hacking numbers (money, levels ect on games).
4. The addresses matching. This shows all the addresses matching your search.
5. The selected addresses. Put the addresses matching your search here to edit them.
6. Speedhack. This is what you'll be using to speedhack.

3. General gamehacking

Here I'll go trough the basic of two different hacking methods; hacking flash and shockwave and speedhacking. It's not possible to hack Java games using Cheat Engine.

3.1 Hacking Flash and Shockwave

I'll first go trough how to hack a Flash game. I'll use Motherload as example.

Well, first open up Cheat Engine, and select your internet bowser as process. I'll be selecting firefox, since I'm using that. If your using Internet Explorer the process name will be iexplore.exe.

First, start a new game and see how much money you have. If game isn't updated since I wrote this you'll have $20. Open up a calculator, and calculate 20(the current money you have)*8(always time whit 8 in flash games)=160. So, you'll search for 160 by pressing 'First Scan'.



You should now get tons of numbers to the left of the Cheat Engine screen.
Spend some money in Motherload (just fill your tank by driving over the 'FUEL' building).
Now, you should have $16 or $15 in Motherload. Calculate again 8*your current money and search for it in Cheat Engine by pressing the 'Next Scan' button. Then you should have only one address again to the left. Mark that address and press the little arrow under/right to the address box.



Open up your calculator and calculate 8*the money you want. If you want a million $'s you should get 8 000 000 as answer.
Double click the value of the address in the box under and change the value to 8 000 000 (if you wanted a million).
Freeze it, and congratulations! Your an millionaire!

To basic-hack Shockwave games, just do the same process except the calculating


3.2 Speed hacking.

Speed hacking is pretty easy using Cheat Engine. Just select the process you want to hack, and hook 'Enable Speedhack' then just set the speed to whatever you want (1 is normal, so 50 is 5000% speed), and press 'Apply'.




4. Some games to hack

I have already thought you how to hack Motherload. You do hack most flash games the same way, some flash games (like platform racing 2) have anti-cheat that is too good for people at Cheat Engine to get trough. One of the games I'll show you how to hack have anti-cheat, but that one is really easy to get trough. That game is Robot Rage. I'll also show you how to "fake hack" Runescape.

4.1 Hack Robot Rage

First off, open up ROBOT RAGE and log in/create a new account.
When you get to your garage, I would prefer to make a new robot, so do this.



This was easy, yeh? But this wasn't a single second whit hack. To hack, you'll need Cheat Engine, so open up Cheat Engine, and of course select the process of your browser.
After opening Cheat Engine, go into your robot and go to the 'Buy parts' tab.
Then, before doing anything else, scan in cheat engine for '50', or the current money/credits you have. You should now get tons of numbers.
Buy a dagger, and scan for 40. You should now only have one address/number again to the left.



Move that address down, and right click it. Press 'Find out what writes to this address' and press yes.
Buy another dagger, you should now get up something in the new window 'The following opcodes changed to the selected address' in cheat engine.
Select the line who popped up, and press 'Replace'.

ASDAFE4563

Your now able to buy tons of daggers in Robot Rage without loosing any money/credits. Buy as many as you want, log out of Robot Rage. Close Cheat Engine, and log in to Robot Rage again.
Sell all your daggers, and Your rich!

4.4 How to fake hack Runescape

Here I'll learn you how to 'fake hack' Runescape. It's quite similar to hack Motherload.

Log into Runescape, have a small amount of money in you inventory (around 20).



Open up cheat engine, select java.exe as process.
Scan for the amount of money you had in your inventory.



Deposit around 5 gp.



Scan for the current amount of money.
Withdraw around 5gp.



Scan for the current amount of money.
Keep on like this until you have only two addresses left.



Change both of them to '1 000 000 000' (or how much money you want to "have" but change both to the same number).



Close you bank (if open), and woalla! You have a billion!



Note: Don't use this to scam in the 'Black market' section, you will get caught!
And no, you won't keep the money. As soon as you opens a trade, or your bank it will go back to 20gp.

Now adding how to hack the following games: EDIT2: Or maybe not yet, Sythe became über slow now, and I have to go, so I'll add it when I return.
- Runescape (just so it looks like you have lots of money, you can't keep them)
- Robot rage
- Argh, I can't remember the last one. Just tell me about games you want hacked, and I'll try. Don't ask for Java games.

EDIT:

No, Runescape is a Java game, and Java are having two addresses. One local (at your computer, this is the one you're able to edit) and one on the server. If they are in conflicted state, the one in the server will be over writing the other. However, you can "fake hack" witch is quite fun, it makes you look like your having more of an item than you actually do.

I have used this program a lot. Its a very good program. Try and use proper grammar and spelling because there are some plenty of mistakes... Runescape is a java game and you say you can not use it to hack java games at the top... But, I still love the guide. Good for beginners... Very good.

Hacking java games is not possible, and I know, Runescape is a java game. I have never said it's possible to hack Runescape? I said you could fake hack, so it looks like you have more money that you have, but that's not hacking.

EDIT: And, I don't know what's wrong whit the grammar. I'm not from an English speaking country, so I'm not that good in English.

 

I used it for maple story hacks before lol, its basically pro hackzzz

I also really like this guide, I think it is very interesting and fun to read. Many people on this site I think could use this, and I personally will use it when im bored on flash games like motherload.
To make the guide better you could try to add some color to make it more appealing and you could also add a simple index. I know you stated that English is not your native language, but you could put the text into any program that spell checks and it should pick up some of your most basic grammar mistakes. Keep up with more guides like this, I am looking forward to more of them.
