I'm always getting disconnected from runescape, with the little screen that says "connection lost-attempting to reestablish." Could this be because my wifi is an unsecure network (meaning no password so anybody could use it)?

Why would you have an unsecure network?

There are hoardes of people (I used to be one of them) that drive around for the sole purpose of finding networks like yours and either mapping them out and abusing them, or simply mapping them out to share with others on the internet, or simply abusing them.

I used to own a satellite dish that had a wi-fi USB dongle in the centre of the exact focal point of the dish so that I was able to pick up wi-fi signals from peoples houses that were several blocks away.

My point is you can get any number of network issues with the way your set up is at the moment. I'm surprised someone hasn't connected to your printer and printed out 1000 pictures of a massive cock. That was always my favourite to do to people.

Set a password, don't make it something like your phone number or address. And to Silly, good sport man. GOOD SPORT!

Password will not slow the internet down, and it is an essential for networking.

[EDIT]: The thing that would slow your internet down is if you were using a (rubbish) firewall that isn't configured optimally. [END OF EDIT]

Wanna know how to change his tune on passwords? Print out 1,000 copies of a big, fat dick from his printer (just basically send the print command and it will print out pictures until he notices and cancels the prints).

When he asks WTF is going on just blame it on someone connecting to your network and doing it since there is no password.

When you do make a password, I would make one that is at least 15 characters and randomly generated. There are many websites/programs that will randomly generate keys for you.

There's always the possibility you are the victim of a DDoS Attack.
