Inferno Cape

For those who have experienced or known anyone whos gotten temp banned for buying a cape, what was the reasoning behind it, and how long did it take for jagex to know that you've bought the cape and get banned afterwards?.

 

friend got banned about a month to 1.5 months after purchasing a cape. He said they used a VPN but it didnt work obviously haha.

 

My buddy has bought 5 capes. 3 of first which were vpn. 2 got removed and the third was a maxed ags zerk that still has the cape to today. Since then prices have dropped and now he purchases with Teamviewer

 

VPN/Proxy capes have been removed from people i've spoken with. No reports from teamview-style capes being removed. Personally had 3 capes done in 3 attempts on 1 of my accounts prior to the latest ban wave. No issues.

 

ah damn i got mine done on a proxy, did any of ur vpn/proxy friends hav edone any atttempts b4?

So far the only credible reports I've seen of cape removals have been from users who got their cape via VPN, Proxy, and no precautions (lol). No accounts of remote (TeamViewer, etc.) capes being removed.

 

I've had 3 capes done for my accounts by pink clay all via teamviewer. None have been removed. Avoid VPN/Proxy

 

I looked into this when they first came out and everyone was getting banned so never bothered

 

my infernal cape got removed month ago i recieved a 2 weeks ban and legit tryna learn it myself rn paid big bucks just to get it removed :S

 

did you use Teamviewer/parsec?

 

99.9% capes removed are vpns/proxy never risk it and use tv/Parsec even if its abit more expensive worth evrey penny

 

Have any of you guys had capes removed that were done via teamviewer?
