im so depressed

So theres this girl I really like and we always hang out and talk. We always flirt with each other and i always get shy and nervous when I have too ask girls hard questions. Anyway I told one of my friends and he ended up asking her out. I was so pissed cause he knew i liked her and he backstabbed me. I feel so betrayed. I don't know what to do. I want too make him learn his lesson somehow.

 

First of all, why let a girl situation depress you? You shouldn't be depressed over a girl.

Also, there is no point in getting your friend back, what's the point? I would just have a rethink about who your friends really are.

 

I don't necesarily agree that you should never get down by a girl. But in this situation I do. I'm taking a guess that you haven't had many relationships (as with I) and i could just imagine how this would feel.. especially with a good friend screwing you over. It was a huge douche move. But I don't suggest trying to get him back. That will make things worse (especially with her). And this girl might become free again sometime! And besides, you'll always be able to find someone new

 

It sucks, but at a young age it seems that alot of people are very insensitive to their friends feelings and tend to fight over girls alot. I remember competing with some of my best friends back in middle school/high school to try and get the same girl, and whoever lost out would usually feel pretty shitty.

You sound young though, so I wouldn't get too depressed At your age, girls come and go like the seasons, and you are sure to find another one soon enough who will light you up like the last. I would sit down with your bro though and have a talk with him about what he did, and try to find out exactly why he did that? If he was intentionally trying to hurt your feelings than I wouldn't regard him as a very good friend.

 

If you let a girl ruin your life.. You are letting yourself lose. Go ahead and accept you won't become the husband of every girl you like or think is cute, just try to let her know you like her without making it akward. If all fails, be friends and accept defeat... There are plenty of girls on the planet.

 

This part of your life [I'm assuming] is hard but you need to grit up and take it like a man, it will make you a better boyfriend for a girl who doesnt hesitate for you.

 

Your "friend" is a douche. I know it's hard, but try and see this in a more positive light. You weeded out a bad friend.
I've had a friend of 7 years stab me in the back, selfishly motivated by his desire to keep his cheating behind closed doors. Funny thing was, I would have kept it a secret for him had he not tried to screw me over.

Anyway, life is too short to worry about people like your "friend". You will meet more people, better, wonderful people. Believe it.
As for the girl, there really are plenty more out there, the hardest part isn't finding one but trying to stick to one.

 

I wish I could of added this to my post, I've lost good friends just in the past year or so, those who stick by you are who matter.

And in my honest opinion, it was worth it. You got rid of a bad friend.

 

Yeah, I know what you mean. We're afraid of change, we're sentimental, but sometimes letting go is definitely for the better. :laugh:
