Just a few questions before I can give you an answer.

1. How old are you two?
2. Why are you so far apart? (work/college etc)

 

Here's the thing,
it most likely won't work out. I know that's probably not what you're looking to hear, but personally and statistically, it's true.
Trust. Trust is a major issue. It's not that you'll lose trust in her for no reason. You'll begin to lose trust in yourself around other girls, which will lead to you start wondering about their activities in 10 fold. Even if you don't admit it, you'll worry.
Long distance relationships will kill you, it's not worth the heartbreak. There's always someone else out there.

 

I agree with you slightly blade, but it depends on his situation, if she is there because if work or university then it's likely she'll stay where she is.
He may have a job and what not where he is at the moment, I'm guessing they're still rather young though.
