    Hey, well ever since like I was 14 I have just hated myself, I'm not really sure why, I just do. I am pretty overweight, Been trying to lose weight kinda hard, but I don't just hate my body image I hate my personality, and I just judge myself way too much. Today I had Senior Pictures, and I hate all of them except for like 1 Picture. But the one I like is just okay at best. I have friends, but yet I don't. People in my school like love me, I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything, but I constantly have people trying to talk to me, but I just kinda shut them out. It's not that I'm shy, but it's I don't know what to say most of the time. One of the things I do is not really talk to people in school, but yet people are always constantly saying whats up to me, and hows it going, and I don't really start a conversation, because I figure, eh they don't really like me, they are just being nice. I constantly see girls looking at me, and I assume its because they are just looking at me cause I'm ugly. I hate looking at myself in the mirror, I HATE Pictures, I have a Facebook with not one single picture of me. I had like 3 pictures of me up at one point, but I took them down after a couple months. The only picture besides one of my Senior Year pictures I like is one of me from far away, wearing sun glasses. That is the only one I like of me, cause I think I look good in it. Any tips on how I can make myself feel a little better, (please don't just say lose weight that's what I've been doing, it's not helping me feel any better about myself.)

    Maybe you're rejecting people's friendship before they reject you? Give them a chance and they will give you a chance =]

    Being a little overweight is not the end of the world. Try not to be so critical about yourself, and just go out and live your life. I used to look in the mirror and just point out all of my flaws that people would usually never even notice. Try to remember that more than likely you look alot better then you make yourself out to be, and don't be so harsh on yourself. You said that people are always trying to start a conversation with you, so maybe you should try and talk to them more. You might find that someone is going through the same thing you are right now.     I'm also fat, but in school I was always the jolly fat kid who messed around with everyone because people might think you're ugly, but if portray a good personality they can't help but befriend you.

    I say try not giving a fuck, because after all people can put you down, but if you legitimately don't care like I do, they can't change anything.

    Mm I wouldn't try that. If you said everyones nice to you at school, thats awesome, start building on some of those relationships and make some lifetime friends.

    With the losing weight you have to realise that it takes time, if you work at it consistently through your school years you'll shed it. Even if you figure you don't mind being over weight, you won't mind even less if your not.

    What year are you in aswell?

    Gtfo, "Cut down on Mcdonalds" okay I'll go from eating Mcdonalds about once every year or two, to about every three to four years thanks.

    I'm a Senior in HS BTW.

    If you want to do something dedicate yourself to it,end of story. If you can't do this then you won't get results.


    Your not fat, your built, I can see it already. Do you do any sports, that are actually a work out? Cause in a month you can see pretty big changes and by the end of the session your gunna like the results. And built people lose weight and become stronger a lot easier then fat people, remember that there is a difference.


    Let the other kids in, if they wouldn't care about you then why would they even try to start a conversation, give them a chance.


    You need a bit more self esteem, i think tbh. The only reason i could think that you'd think you look bad is that your self esteem is low for whatever reason. Having friends and joining a sport can fix that problem pretty fast.

    That was absolutely uncalled for. Don't be a fucking prick.

    Just try talking to some people more often, befriend some of them. If you're with cool being that really don't care what you look like, and like you for YOU, then you'll end up not thinking about it as much, or even better, not caring as much.

    Realistically it sounds like you're pretty introverted, which means it's gonna take some effort to break out of the routine you're in right now. I think at this point you feel as if you have nothing important to talk about, so you are worried that people will not enjoy talking with you. When you feel like you're uninteresting, you'll probably come off that same way in conversation.

    So pump yourself up a bit. Start by thinking of something you're good at, something that made you happy recently, anything positive. And just take that energy and transfer it to your social interaction. It might feel a bit forced at the start, but you've got to start somewhere. Just keep talking to people, if you can't think of anything interesting to say, just steer the conversation towards them. Most people can talk about themselves for hours.

    I think the real issue isn't your appearance, it's that you feel excluded socially. Humans crave interaction and when that is lacking it can cause depression / anxiety. It might not come easy to you right now, but over time with some effort it should become second nature.

    Just get out there and talk to people, try and be funny. Goes a long way. If you have awkward situations who the hell cares, happens to all of us. Good luck man.

    try to control yourself and try other ideas. try socialing even though your body tries to reject it. this will the ONLY way to find a good friend. a friend will always boost ur esteem and make u feel better. find a permanent friend to be ur best friends. move on to friends you have fun with. If your trying to lose weight, and it seems ur not self motivated to do so, then a friend will help you out.
