I fail.

Life it's self is just stupid. I'm not emo infact I'm a very happy person just the lifestyle I live is so boring. This school year has been shit.


Well since school has started everything has just gone down the drain. I quit smoking todo good in highschool I started off with all A's and as the school year went by they slowly dropped. From A's to C's to C's to F's now it's my first year of highschool and I'm fucked already. I started smoking again. Thought I liked this girl and ended up making out and doing shit with her best friend which I have no clue why. We had a 6 day weekend from snow days. And I wasted it Smoking hanging out with girls (thats not really wasting it) But I'm failing school I have finals tomorrow which I'm going to fail. I'm just not motivated for anything anymore. I'm a spoiled kid. I get whatever I want when I want it. I have this huge house that all my friends think my life is great. But turns out my parents are both alcoholics and I don't have near as good as a life as anyone of my friends my brother even told my mom that she was a diferent person when they were growing up (my 2 sisters Emily, and Abby, and my brother John). When I get an F I nothing happends to me sure I get yelled at abit but I still get my laptop, and xbox nothing seems to phase me anymore. I'm actually scared for my future. I'm not sure what I'm going todo. I'm never motivated to do anything school related which is horrible. I always tell myself I'll do my homework and stuff but when I get home I just skate or sit on the computer and lie to my parents that I did my homework. And I say the same thing to my teacher everyday 'I forgot about it' or 'I didn't understand it' I'm a very smart kid but I just I don't know I'm glad to get this off my chest. I just wish I could be a better person and get good grades but I just can't I'm not sure whats wrong with me.

 

Im was in your situation last year, im a sophmore now aside from the fact that i get everything taken away and my mom isnt an alcoholic :\
well i dont even know what im going to do yet in life either im just going to take life as it goes and i suggest the same to you.if you can try to study more but i dont know why im telling you this because i still never study anyways...if you can, do it.

do you mean retaking the class in summer school?
i had to take summer school for math last year and it SUCKED...they move so fast in summer school its ridiculous. there were tests on the CHAPTER every day, but i managed to pass with a C. If you failed a math and another subject, take the other subject in summer school and the math that you failed next year. it will be so much better

EDIT: i mean take math as a full year course not in the next summer

 

No I did not fail math I'm at a 100% in math. I'm amazing at math

if your failing your other core classes like history and stuff, its simple a matter of taking 20 minutes a day to study the material. i should take this advice im giving and apply it to myself, but meh... im a fuck up.

Kid, life sucks for all people, it's the degree that varies from person to person. You need to learn to use the challenges you face to your advantage and become a better person because of them.

I appreciate your post and concern but really grow up I'm not a Kid. Your probably just as old as me.

 

I had this problem in my 2nd year of Junior High School. I just took it as it went. All I recommend is try, just try your hardest to get your self to do homework or study for 30 minutes a day. If you can't maintain studying 30 minutes a day, try studying 30 minutes a week. For your homework, I'd recommend doing it right when you get home, and reviewing after that for what you did last to class. Then you get rewarded a whole day of doing whatever you want. I know, I know, it's very boring, but life does suck, and you're going to have to deal with it

The best words of advice I can give you, in terms of your school work and academics, is; self motivation is the key to success. You need to be able to rely upon yourself in times of distress to succeed. You've only got yourself in this world and your the only one you can always count on .

 

Thats just it I have no self motivation.

 

I kinda have a problem to motivate myself also. I found a way to motivate myself a little bit, it's not much, but I feel good after. Generally what I do is, I set a small goal (as setting a major one is just dumb because you won't reach it) so fix small goal and tell yourself that you'll do something you like after it. For example, let's say I have to do a homework, I tell myself that I'll buy some candies after or buy a new video game or do anything else special to kinda reward and congrats myself. Yea, I know, it looks dumb but anyway, it works a little bit sometimes so I stick with this method as I would probably do nothing if I wouldn't set goals.

Hope it gives you ideas.

Btw, try not to fail courses... I had to take back a math course 3 times and another course once and I had to pay like $200 bucks for everything... So, not a good idea to fail as you'll have to take courses during summer and waste your money.

 

sounds like me, just cheat the exams, its what i did except for math, it was eog style diff color answer sheets.

 

So a good idea is to ask for advice on an internet forum populated by mostly teenage males? Get your shit together yourself instead of moaning about it here.

 

Quitting smoking is a start. Then you should go to guidance (Your school should have it) ask for an appointment and they'll see what help you can get on getting motivated for school.
If your not willing to talk to them you should do what you do in math just apply it to your other subjects.

 

Believe me, if you really will give it all to school. U will be RICH, have a GOOD JOB, and your life will be wonderfull!!
