Hurricane Ike

Fuck it... I live in Houston and my power will probably be out for a week, just like when Rita came a few years ago.. From what I hear there's like a 20 foot water surge in Galveston, meaning my bay house is fucked... Good luck to anyone else in the area of this piece of shit hurricane.

So fuck you Ike, and hopefully I'll be back here in a few days.

My nephew lives in Galveston, which I *THINK* is sort of an island off of Texas? Correct me if I'm wrong.
The good thing about Ike is the rain that my area is getting. But still, good luck.

Yeah its headed straight for me, im moving down and so is all my friends and family...hope it doesnt destroy any of my property...

 

UPDATE:

Hey everyone, it's three days into this hurricane and my power is still off. It could be up to two weeks before all power in Houston is returned, and at least a month before Galveston is up and running. I found a tiny connection to my neighbor's house so I'm using it before I disconnect.

We went to my bay house today to see what happened, and it's gone. Literally.. gone. I assure you this hurricane wasn't just something that you would think "sucks for you" to. The city of Houston looks like it got raped. I'm not joking. Every street is littered with leaves and tree limbs, power is out everywhere and is only getting back at about 5% a day, so nobody knows when they will get power back. Food is starting to get bad because the fridge is warm now. This really sucks and I'm praying I get power or at least if my family can go to San Antonio for a few days, cause thats what a lot of my friends did.

I'll make a thread whenever I can and give ya'll the pictures I took of my house, houston, and worst of all my bay house. Please keep us in your thoughts/prayers.
