It seems to me like the pen tooled squiggle you made Did not actually come out of the "light." You can see that it is thicker in the middle, which shows that it would have to be some kind of light organism for that to happen. Also, the ambiance of that object does not effect the background at all, like it should.

 

i tried super ahrd to make that part look good but im not very good with the pen tool and it was the best i can do
