How to chargeback?

How do I win a PayPal chargeback if I sent the money as family and friends and used most of my payment with paypal balance?

Try calling Paypal etc.

 

call your creditcard company, explain your story, hope for the best.

First, PayPal does not cover virtual goods. Second, they will not refund me since I sent it as family and friends. Third, unauthorized charge will not be a acceptable excuse because they have a great system to tell if it was.

 

I paid most of the transaction with PayPal balance and $4 with my bank. I don't think its worth it to get just $4 back from my bank.

 

How do you mean won't refund you? In first post you said that you received the money so you are the seller ? Or are you the one trying to charge back ?

 

You can't chargeback the money used from your paypal balance. That money is within the jurisdiction of paypal. The most you can do is call paypal and tell them to change the class of the payment, so that you're able to open a dispute. You will most likely lose the case nonetheless since they don't grant buyer protection to those using their service for intangible goods.

 

My first post says "I sent the money as family and friends" i'm the buyer.

 

I don't really use paypal. However, if your sending money as a gift to someone your not 100% sure about, you should send it from a different IP, either going to a different place, or using a VPN, so you can say it wasn't you that sent it just incase they end up scamming.

Always best to use a MM/OMM if you're not 100% confident in the person your trading with.
