how i run servers ???????

ok i realy wantewd to play a rsc server so i download client register extract and all that and i go to run and it says

'java' is nor reconised as a internalor external command
operable profram or batch file.
press any key to continue

help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
