How Fun Are Mains?

I'm thinking of going main, just wondering how 'maxed' or 'almost maxed' combat mains are. Is it worth going main? what do you do normally.

 

Well, if you like the concept of getting all the quests and levels again sure? I wouldn't necessarily enjoy doing everything that I had in EoC over again, I just enjoy 2007 for the pking since EoC combat is broken and unfinished.

Mains are fun if you enjoy skilling and questing. If you want to PK 'pures' then it's not for you, but if you enjoy grinding away and getting the higher level high risk pking done, then it's perfect for you. It's all I'd ever make tbh, I hate pures.

 

Its harder to be 'the best' or 'respected' for what you do because there are so many skills and there's a lot to compete with whereas with a skiller or pure it's easier to be considered impressive. That's the only reason that it can be demotivating to play on.

On the plus side you wont get bored easily as you can train any skill whenever and a lot more areas, equipment etc are available to you

 

If you're going main you should at least stay 70 defence and be a barrows pure. You can do everything other mains can plus have some extra strength levels and have fun with pking.

 

This is a joke right, if your playing 07 to pk, Rsc is the only thing pking actually owns on. They ruined it once they changed the combat system.


I hate pking on rs2, i would never step in the wild not 1 time.

I love skilling and training on rs2 though

 

Main: Versatile, PvM or PvP, higher risk, All gear at your wealth level.
Zerker: Just under, Great PvM because void, + awesome PvP (try this)
Pure: Point is to remain low combat, with 2 or 3 super high skills -> Great PvP, with regards to PvM, obviously not as good as main or zerker.

IMO: I would try zerker first, see how you like it.. PK and PvM, if you feel you need to dharok or something still, then go main. Try get atleast 85 str before going to 70 def though. Mains also open you up to solo bosses, such as KQ or KBD.. which is fun, and mage bank pking because you will be 110+ cmb with decent pvp stats (considering you like pvping and therefore you can hybrid )

Theyre usually better for skilling/questing/pvming, if you want pking, try a pure/zerk

 

Main pking is really hella fun if you find a team/clan you click with - Otherwise solo/edge it's mindnumbing venge-offs

Zerks are boring, whips venge dds rinse repeat at edgeville forever.

 

I like it quite abit, i like slayer quite alot on my main, because u actully gain a decent cash stack from it.
