How efficient is staking?

Hey guys.

Well, let me say this first. i had a 1.8b bank now im stuck with f**** 700m because of dicing.

Looking for a way to build my bank at least to 1.2b again. How efficient is staking if you have a maxed account? And how often can you get bug abused? I've seen so many cases of glitches etc etc.

Also, whats a good method I can do? I was thinking to lose 50m daily, so I'd go in there with 50m, stake 25m and see how far I can get with winning.

E.g 25m -> 50m -> 100m -> 200m etc.

 

The key word here is self-control once you have lost 50m for the day.

This method has good potential to keep you from being cleaned.

 

Staking is a poor way to make money unless you are glitching or have some other advantage.

Against people who aren't doing the above, you will be 50-50. Against people who are, you will be behind in the long run. Since you don't know who these people are, you can't avoid them. Therefore, you will always lose in the long run.

 

I've seen people make heaps off it.

Its random. You could go on the biggest losing streak of all times and get cleaned easily. On the other hand you could hit a winning streak and make bank. Just depends how much jagex hates you.

 

if you bet strategically then you can expect to make a small bit of money... unless you are really unlucky then you can lose everything. then there is always that one guy who bets bank and doubles it

 

The point was that it has a negative expected outcome.

 

This is just gambling at it's finest, you lost all that money with dicing, maybe the safest thing to do now is not wager on anything...

 

Staking can be the best money making method on RuneScape, along as you know what you're doing. As for being bug abused, just never stake after an update. If you're not very good at staking, or just don't have the time, feel free to click my signature

 

I think Ill try some luck with 25-50m a day since thats not much of a loss after losing 1.3b.

 

There isn't really a good method, just stake what you can afford to lose. Staking is risky, you can easily lose 10+ stakes in a row and get cleaned out.

 

Staking is not 50-50. It only is if you are dueling the same person over and over again, even then, I don't believe the odds are exactly 50-50, but it's a bit off. I've had my fair share of staking and I know this better than anyone else.

There's a thread in the RS forums, when there's a glitch it gets bumped. I'm not exactly sure where it is, nor do I know if it's a sticky. Chances of being glitched is extremely low, just don't do it anywhere close to an update. When an update is out, wait a few days. If there's no word at all on glitches, then you're safe.

I would however watch out for people that "camps" the DA. Your odds are no where close to 50-50 with them.

 

It'd be better if you started hosting hot/cold or whatever yourself, at least that way the odds are in your favor. Statistically you should profit ~15% of all bets in the long run if all bet sizes are fairly similar. Just don't get too greedy or confident when hosting, the odds might be in your favor but luck can cause some massive losing streaks. For that reason I'd say avoid taking bets worth 10%+ of your GP.

from personal experience, it is terribly inefficient. This could be just me though..but I have gone in and lost 13 stakes IN A ROW and been cleaned for my life's savings... so in that case...there is no strategy that can save you.

If you made the first 1.8b "legit" I suggest doing it again dicing will get you nowhere to be honest, staking has a good success rate but you might find your self in a pattern of getting money then staking so fast that if you didn't stake you could've already made your money back.

its completely hit or miss bro, you just gotta gamble big and hope to god its a winner lol! its very addicting tho, one weekend you make bills, next you get cleaned

 

word of advice, don't stake more than 10% of your bank. If you can't afford to go on without it, don't do it, I learned it the hard way and kept doubling up and lost roughly 2.5b

 

I've never gambled in Runescape like this, but, I've watched a guy who boxes and it seems that boxing is the best way to play, as, he wins quite a lot. It's probably quite efficient but it's just a gamble.

 

Staking 10% of the bank is the best advice. And be always Pidded. And staking is not 50/50 at all. There is some skills needed, and ofc some luck.
