How does Mining work

Can someone write me a guide on exactly what takes place please.
got a nice PC I can mine witu I just dont understand any of it at all haha

 

Didn't really need a troll response when I have asked on a public forum, under the impression that with a subforum "crypto currency" I can ask the question with people willing to explain this to me, answer further questions and provide their own knowledge than something that ks now extremely commercialised and does not explain basic concepts and computer set ups.
Therefore, asking on sythe where I see users have and currently are making a profit to give advice, seems reasonable.

Please, feel free to google everything I just typed to make it into a simpler format for you to understand.

I'm approx 99% its am AMD R9 270 or a 270x, one of them two haha

 

Download cgminer, is there anything specifically you want to mine? Or just going for profit?

 

profit in honesty, im sceptical in how it all works so something that will make a lil bit of cash while I understand it will work fine

Probably the simplest way for you to get started would to be to use a multipool, they aren't the most profitable right now. But its easier to do and they aren't far behind these will mine alt currencys and pay you in Bitcoin.
Download a Bitcoin wallet, I recommend electrum.
Once you've done that find out what the exact model of gpu (If you can't find out download http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ it'll tell you.
Also download msi afterburner http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm
Once you've done that come back tell me your gpu model and I'll tell you what else to do

 

Mining is highly inefficient if you do not have about 20 grand to put into hardware and free electricity.

I'm afraid you might need a bit of math background to completely understand how Bitcoin works, but this article explains it excellently if you care to read it.

 

If he's just running his computer to mine it's barely or not worth doing. But if it's already on it's still worth it. Admittedly scrypt profits have been terrible lately and will continue to drop, but he'll still get around .1 per month from a 270x on say middlecoin/hashcows/clevermining.
Not sure if you where talking about mining bitcoin directly.
