How do I start?

How do I start playing WoW? Where do I download the client? I don't have a credit/debit card but I do have PayPal so can I pay with that? If not then how can I pay? I don't understand 'expansion packs' so can someone explain those to me. Thanks.

You will then want to purchase the battle chest: http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=110000044 which gives you burning crusades and 30 days of gametime for $20

You will also need to purchases the wrath of the lich king expansion found here: http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100000265 which is $30 but I recommend you purchase lich king and cataclysm together if you plan on playing in the longterm.

To purchase cataclysm you visit here: http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100001289 which will allow you to reach level 85 and do endgame content.

As for expansions I believe you can use paypal if I'm not mistaken but if not there is a lot of legitimate sellers such as epicmmo and few more who sell legit cd keys and ensure safety from chargebacks on the content.

To find all the services you can go to worldofwarcraft website> services> blizzard store> pc games and it shows you all the expansions. The ones you want are Wow battlechest, wrath of the lich king, and cataclysm the other ones that are there are useless. you can purchase it in store if you wish to, I'm unsure whether they accept paypal for key purchases but there are a few people on here who will sell them.

you can purchase a digital version off of the blizzard website.

You can get a pre-paid credit card from a local newsagent store to use online
The prices for WoW+expansions have been reduced quite a lot lately as well

Edit: also - once you have the CD keys, if you have any IRL friend or online buddys that play hit them up for a recruit-a-friend. the benefits are great.

yea there's a few people in the market who will sell it but be careful who you buy it from because they can be charged back, best to get it from somebody trustworthy and pay around the price it costs for the key rather than get them for ridiculously cheap and alter find they have been charged back. You want to make sure you get a key from the actual CD rather than from an online purchase.
