Rip off for 29.95. To host a forum do not go with semi-dedicated. Just pick a Standard or Beginners package from somewhere. http://www.1and1.com is decent although they do have somewhat of a bad wrap from some customers. I've used them numerous times without issues. Hope this helped, btraill
You do not need dedicated hosting when starting a new website. Dedicated hosting is for when you start to get a lot of traffic and your site is slowed by the limitations of shared hosting.
It's shit, and oversold. Go to a non-oversold host and you'll be able to host your forum without problem.
