Hold rares or shards?

I currently have a substantial amount of gp held in shards. However, I have been reading on Sythe fears about mass inflation and was wondering if it is perhaps safer to move the money into rares(which would in theory ride out inflation). If so do you think blue party hats are a safe choice(as they are the most desirable party hats) or should I go as high up as Christmas crackers or some combination of rares. I have enough gp that i would need dozens of whatever item I am buying, and could diversify quite a bit.

 

From what I've heard Christmas crackers have only gone down in price. So I'd say yeah go for the blue phat.

I'd say just stay with shards. "Mass inflation" only happens if people believe it will and start panic buying things. Just continue like normal and tell everyone else to also and shards won't move from their current price.
