Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I am new and not sure how this all works eg I want to buy an item, how do they get how it to me? Do they go on my account and get it for me or do they trade with me and give it to me, but how do they do that with trade limits etc. Sorry, I don't know anything, am a bit of a noob

You buy their item for ingame cash, then you send them the money. Or the other way around.

 

Yes, you must have the RSGP to buy the item from the other person, the only reason you would pay them for it is if it has a high street value, or is not available on the GE.
