Help!

I need help with a scammer. I would like to know if it is possible to file criminal charges. I have his/her name, ip address, location, and the college he/she will be attending. I also have screenshots of the transaction. Unfortunately I sent the payment as a gift so I can't file a claim. Can anyone help me?

You may be able to ring paypal to recover the money, though they generally deny virtual item trades.

It's unlikely criminal charges could be laid.

 

He refunded the money. I had to go through hell today though with insufficient fund fees, long story.

 

If he refunded the money, do you still need help?

And if it's not over runescape, but like real goods for real money, you probably could. If you know his location, call the police and such..
