    Ok, i downloaded a gfx pack but everything seems to be a jpeg with a black background, any way i can change them into a transparent png?

    Usually you would use the blending mode "screen" and sometimes "lighten" to remove that black bg (Only if you have something behind it.)

    I think you need to cut it out via quick selection tool, the via layer cut/copy and then put it on a transparent background.
