Find 40% of £50. how do you do it, i know the answer is 20 but i wanna know how to get to the answer.
Lol, if you dont know simple math just use this; 10% - 5, if you need to get 40% just multiple 10% whatever you need, so 40% = 5(10%) x 4 and you get the answer
Lol, thats the most simple way to do it. Lets say you got numer of 100, you need to get 40% off 100, all you do is get the 10% which is 10, then you just multipe it by 4 and you get 40 which is 40%. The most simple way, 10year kids use this, lol.
Maybe it is better explained like this... Percent is exactly what it sounds like -> Per (out of) cent (100). So 40% is 40 / 100. When you do 40% of £50 it would be doing this: The other way to do this is to go back to what I said earlier (definition of percent). 40%, you move your decimal two places to the left.
