    Help with math needed

    I need some help with math. I don't understand the way of grades in USA, but I'm 16 years old so I guess it can't be too hard. First question:

    (6x^2 - 12)/(x^2 - 1)^2 = 1 1/3

    What is the value of x?

    I'll add more if it gets harder.

    x = {-1.58, 1.58, -2, 2}

    What you need to do is multiply the denominator to the right side, then turn 1 1/3 to 4/3, then multiply the 3 in the denominator to the right side, then move everything so it equals 0 (put it on the left side). Then solve by factoring out and reordering. You should get 3 subproblems.
