Help with java

hey im having a problem with running as rsc private sever. the problem is when i run the RUN_CLIENT.bat MS-DOS file i get this msg - Java is not recognized as an internal or external command.

i have already download JDK but i think it may be the pathing of it.
Can someone tell when when the path name is and where to put it?

 

Where did you install it to? Find the folder that holds "java.exe".
I'll use C:\Java as an example.
If that is the folder, there should be a file called Java.exe in it.

Open up command prompt, and run this command:
SET %PATH%=%PATH%;C:\Java

Try again, and it should work.

Alternatively, you can place the RUN_CLIENT.bat and the other rsc private server files in the same directory as Java.exe, and run the batch file.

The first method should be the only thing you need to do.

 

the path it might be is something like C:/program files/java/something/something......


but look in program files for the right folder.

 

I installed jdk idk where to but heres a pic.

 

ok i placed the folders indaide the bin and it works now but i stil wanna fix the otehr problem

 

I cannot tell where you installed Java to, the screenshots don't show it.

 

i placed it in c:\java/JDK 1.6.0\BIN

 

SET %PATH%=%PATH%;"C:\java\JDK 1.6.0\BIN";

Try that, and run the batch file again.
