It's still, very weird that your sythe name is "personal jesus", if you don't believe in, heaven/hell. Whilst christians, do believe in it. That means that your name should be "personal nothing" as jesus is nothing for you. I believe in jesus, but no i'm not a christian, nor think that he's the son of god, or that he was killed like they think.

You can keep saying, that there is no evidence that heaven or hell exist, yet there are so many people with a religion, you think 1 person could write such an amazing book, with so may facts that scientist have just discovered to be true, could have written that book a few thousand years ago?

Biblical writings were NOT written by one person. The books were written by multiple people hundreds of years after these events "occurred", and have since been changed many times by other human beings.

Personal Jesus doesn't have to mean that he's Christian. It is just like my name, I'm not a wild bird, am I? He could simply be thinking from the perspective that "He is his own saviour", or something similar. I'm not him, so I can't give you any accurate reason.

I wasn't talking about the bible, when i was saying "not wrtten by one person"
I was talking about the Quran, unlike the bible, it hasn't been changed so many times. And every single word, was directly from god and nothing has ever changed ever since. Unlike the bible, which has changed many times, to satisfy the every day life, of a Christian.

Do you have evidence of this?

    Amazing is subjective.

What is in your holy text that scientists have just discovered to be true?

I'm no expert on Islamic history, but it looks like some words were changed. This, of course, invalidates your claim (I need hardly add that the lack of abrogation to a historical text does not increase it's authority on spiritual matters).

Just because I'm an atheist doesn't necessarily mean that I dislike the idea of Jesus, despite the fact that there is no historical evidence that suggests a jewish carpenter named Jesus Christ ever existed 2k+ years ago.

The Quran isn't an amazing book, much like the Bible, it repeatedly contradicts itself, acceptable scientific theories, historically documented facts and astronomical facts. Half the 'science' stuff written in the Quran was already known to mankind, the other half has been proven wrong.

Why would you believe simply because you were raised that way?

Many people claim mystical experiences. Can you validate yours?

I understand that there is absolutely no proof that God, Heaven, or Hell exists.
But there also isn't proof that they don't exist.

I believe that they are real. I attend church every Sunday, and with or without proof.. I believe.

You should read the chapter about Hell in David Mills' "Atheist Universe."

Basically it talks about how there is no logical reason for a God to put humans in hell. He compared it to reasons why we put people in jail, and it made sense. I don't remember the specifics but you should definately check out the book.

So I can believe in mile long pink elephants jumping around in another galaxy because there isn't any proof of them not existing and I would still be considered sane?

I used to be believe in God/heaven/hell but my opinion changed.

so if it happends to exist I'm most likely going to hell no matter how nice of a guy I am etc...

So real talks I'd fight the devil. we're already dead so what will he do if we refuse to "work" or whatever the term would be (brains not working proper atm) then what can he do? kill you again? lmao makes no sence what so ever.
I know when people say prove to me that god doesn't exist. well prove to ME he does. It's much more logical although I have nothing against believers. Im not an athiest, I'm not an Anti-christ. I'm not sure what I am tbh. but God no longer exists to me. There is no possible way he does. there would be some kind of evidence. unless God comes to me tonight and tells me he exists in person only then I will believe. unless someone has a logical explanation which I believe is impossible see'ing he's non existing. Science is much more logical, you know how your in science class and you just kind of listen and understand it right away. well that's the power of science. ITS LOGICAL AND BACKS UP FACTS.

    just my 2 cents

I, personally, am a Muslim and proud. The proof I have is in the Quran. And to be honest, Personal Jesus made a wonderful point on the first page.
I literally neally cried of your intelligence. I beleive in God and the Quran. All I can say is we did not just come out by ourselves, there is some explanation towards this world. All we can do is use the evidence we have got and go from there. Its like we are walking across the beach and we see a sand castle and I say to one of use "how do you reckon that sand castle come about?" and youu would say "by itself". Thats as stupid as this sounds, I do not hate people because they are an athiest. But I am dissapointed in them, not even bothering about what happens next in the afterlife.

You forget that saying "God did it" immediately raises the question of "Who designed God?". A God able to design the universe would have to be at least as complex (and thus improbable) as what he designed.

Then how did God come about? by itself?

You will never know what happens in the afterlife until you die, so it doesn't bother me one bit because I can't do anything about it.

For all those people, saying so who created god? Is that all you can say. It's really pathetic, like many many people said, why would god need a creator?. If god decided to make the universe, why should someone greater them him, create god? Its just pointless, and thats the worse argument you can ever come up with.

Either god exists, and created the universe etc. (which i believe)
    Or god doesn't exist.

No point saying who created god, thats just a crap statement from crap people, who can't argue.

we obviously have no proof but if noone belived it then noone would do anything kind for religious porpouses since it wouldnt matter to anyone but themselves. its just something that keeps us doing good things and worried to do bad things. i dont really belive it but i want to because after you die i dont want it all to be like a weird dream..
