i have a few questions- what [specific] genre would you place these bands in?
and by specific i mean: hard rock, heavy rock, metal, light metal, light rock, soft rock, heavy metal...

be as specific as POSSIBLE

i was looking for a "funk" to describe red hot chili peppers, they definitely are rock-funk

by "no" i hope you mean "don't know" and i hope "pop shit" is a positive term

too bad most of your classification isn't really proper. I would NEVER be able to classify metallica as a "Heavy Metal" band, because they are obviously a Thrash Metal band.

that's who it was then. i knew a least one of the bands i listened to was christian rock... but i wasn't sure if it was nickleback

 

i'm sorry im not as much as a "metal adept" as you are. i'm not a lot into metal, i actually really hate most metal, with a few exceptions. please forgive me for not being so metallica savvy
