Guide verifiers...really?

Im not trying to flame, this is constructive critisism. Guides should be verified more thoroughly.

That guide was verified by 4 official verifiers. He posted his thread 3 months ago. This guide has been posted on youtube several times. Its also been posted on several websites. Including Sythe, on the free guides section. http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=832320

The guy who was selling this guide posted a scam report about me, lol.

Wouldnt have been verified had it been me. I am a stickler for verification, I actually questioned a mods verification recently for an already well known guide.

If a guide can be found on google, zybez, or the RSF, I wont verify it.

 

Have no idea why they verified this, it's one of the most known guides in runescape >.<

 

Many of the guides for sale aren't original; they're re-written guides from youtube videos, or modified versions of other guides available on sythe.

The verifiers should be checking a little more, but if the buyers do not already know about it then the verifiers shouldn't be punished.

I wouldn't throwing stones if I were you, considering the guide you tried to get me to verify today.

I just posted this because I wasted my money and wouldnt want it to happen to other people as well.

I didnt know there was a video of it with 500 views on youtube and i didnt know the site haha told me about existed lol. Anyways, im not trying to accuse anyone.

But I have taken your suggestion into consideration and posted something about it in the OGV forums. This will be discussed in there to establish guidelines on determining if a guide is not leaked and suitable for verification.

Also to clarify, the post I made on that thread was before I was an OGV, and I did say it was somewhat known method, just explained very clearly and detailed, which I still think.

If the guide is decanting potions, then this is quite disappointing. I for one sold this guide last year, and it had become available just about everywhere since. It's an extremely common guide, and definitely shouldn't be sold.

 

He should refund everyone that bought that guide tbh, I know it won't happen but you shouldn't be able to sell guides that have been leaked for years. Lol at him trying to ban you....

And So I should. Whether my guide thread gets locked is now beside the point to me, when purchasing my guide, they don't just get the guide itself, they get experience. You have clearly leaked a paid guide, and broken my ToS.

 

You can't make Sythe rules. Are you going to get all the makers of those youtube videos banned as well?
