Google map image tracer?

I stumbled upon a website where someone can just take a picture of a house or anything as long its outside... such as a photo of a car in front of a house. And then uploading that image, and then finding out where that photo was taken..

I guess I can use this advantage for when I'm looking for a car on craigslist.. to find out if its a scam or a legit posting..
